The DTC Ice Sheets consortium has recently published an interactive story: A Digital Twin for Earth’s Ice Sheets.

Created using DEA, a storytelling and visualisation platform developed within the DestinE Ecosystem, the story serves as an accessible introduction to key themes of the DTC Ice Sheets project.

What are ice sheets, and why do they matter for your climate system?
How can a Digital Twin help us understand and respond to the changes they are undergoing?

The story explores these questions and introduces the project’s four use cases through real-world challenges such as:

• Sea-Level Rise: What is the impact of melting ice sheets on global sea-level rise?
• Antarctic Stability: How is the stability of Antarctic ice shelves impacted?
